EXEMPT PRIMARY FUNCTION The Payroll Manager oversees, executes, and manages the payroll function for all employees of the company, ensuring pay is processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
Work closely with the Finance team, Controller, and CFO to provide support in accounting procedures and financial analysis.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure accuracy and timely completion of the payroll records Maintain, direct, and calculate the entry of data Manage the daily operations of the payroll functions Create audit reports to verify the accuracy of the payroll run.
Monitoring electronic timesheets and department supervisors and/or employees for missing timesheets and/or corrections Processing new hires and terminations and providing timesheet training and guidance to new and existing employees Ensure payroll guidelines/policies/procedures are documented, maintained, and updated Ensure adequate internal and external controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all financial transactions including purchases may pass independent and governmental audits Provide all data related to cash flow, budget management, cost benefit analysis and forecasting needs Work closely with Controller & CFO to ensure accurate financial postings and quarterly tax payments as needed Reconciles payroll account balances (eg time sheets, direct deposits, wage attachments, benefits, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc.
) for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and complying with established guidelines Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends Assist Controller, CFO and third-party accountants with audits and tax returns Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions Continuous improvement mindset with willingness to contribute to and lead process improvements and system implementation Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS At least 3 years of experience working in government contracting environment Experience and understanding of industry specific payroll requirements such as Service Contract Act regulations and compliance Certified Payroll Professional designation BASIC REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree and 3
years of relevant experience Ability to obtain a Security Clearance Work in Microsoft Office.
Experience with QuickBooks and other payroll systems Maintain current working knowledge of IRS and State payroll regulations Solid understanding of payroll best practices Trustworthy with attention and confidentiality Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times Ability to traverse manufacturing facility PI189651259.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
