We are excited to be recruiting for the next important piece of our history and new talent, a Senior Accounting Manager! This position utilizes advanced accounting knowledge to oversee, manage, and maintain financial and business transactions for a small business.
The Senior Accounting Manager mentors and leads junior accounting professionals.
Maintains the general ledger and assures general ledger accounts are reconciledPrepares journal entries for asset, liability, expense, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account informationReconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banksPrepares balance sheets, income statements, statement of indirect expenses, and other reports Forecasts and recommends financial actions Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and proceduresComplies with federal, state, and local financial and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actionsOversees the organization's payroll including auditing payroll information for accuracyOversees the processing of employee expense reportsOversees credit card processing and reconciliationOversees all company billing activity; preparation of invoices to customers and ensuring invoices meet contractual requirements including deadlines and content; reconciliationof customer accounts; and manages accounts receivable collections, ie, ensuring invoices are paid in accordance with stated payment termsOversees accounts payable functions; researching and posting outstanding vendor payments and generates payments and distributes checksProvides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual auditOversees the preparation of W-2 statementsFiles required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agenciesTo qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with a high level of accounting courses, and at least 3-5 years of senior accounting experience supporting a government contractor.
Proficient Deltek CostPoint user experience is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
