QA Manufacturing Engineer
QA Manufacturing EngineerWe are looking for an experienced engineer to join our Quality Assurance team.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for executing the strategy for quality management as well as suggesting solutions to identified corrective actions.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will also perform detailed inspections of manufactured parts, assemblies, and electrical harnesses as well as provide support toward design, incoming material, production control/evaluation, process evaluation, documentation signoff efforts.
QA Manufacturing Engineer ResponsibilitiesEnsures that all internal and contractual quality aspects are met for end product deliverables for the manufacturing division.
Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System for the organizationConduct daily analyses/inspection and/or testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods, verifying compliance to necessary specifications.
Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods.
Provide the customers with requested documentation including but not limited to Quality Improvement Plans and complete customer questionnaires.
Act as point person for audits.
Provide management support in the development and maintenance of the organizations safety program.
Provide internal audit support in the recording and analyzing of quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures and prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management.
Ensure all test equipment is calibrated, maintained properly, and fully functional.
Identify and analyze data for KPIs specific to the organizations manufacturing and production operations.
Responsible for FAI (First Article Inspection) documentation for projects as applicable.
Verify/validate material certs as applicable to ensure company quality standards are met.
Other duties as assigned.
QA Manufacturing Engineer QualificationsBachelors degree in production or manufacturing engineering, or related field.
Mechanical engineering acceptable provided the candidate has experience with manufacturing.

years of related QA experience or a Master's degree in related field may be substituted for Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experienceExperience working in AS 9100D and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Ability to obtain a security clearanceMust be able to read engineering documentation and inspect drawings and part list, inspections plans, and supplemental instructionsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to independently multitask, prioritize and manage time efficientlyMust possess a positive attitude, be quality and safety conscious and a team playerAcademic abilities including statistical trend analysis with an excellent attention to detail in report writing.
