Senior Buyer (2740-749)

Smartronix, Inc., an information technology and engineering solutions provider specializing in Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Health IT, Network Operations, and Mission-Focused Engineering is looking for a Senior Buyer to support the procurement team located at our corporate office in Hollywood, MD. The senior buyer will purchase government, commercial, and overhead materials in accordance with Smartronix, FAR, and CPSR requirements. Responsibilities include: analyze the demand for new material supplies, identify capable sources of supplies, issue requests for quotations/proposals, perform price analysis, assure compliance with Governmental Procurement Regulations by executing compliant procurement packages, ensure on time delivery of materials, and mentor other team members. Maintain and document Purchase Order files in accordance with FAR requirements, CPSR, and QA compliance.
Job Summary:
To purchase parts, materials, and services of wide range of complexity. Candidate in this position will:
Purchases materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
Study market trends, interviews vendors and recommends sources of supply.
Solicit and analyzes quotations required to satisfy all the requirements of the authorizing source documentation.
Monitor outstanding orders to ensure timely deliveries of quality products.
Negotiate for any adjustments resulting from price analysis, discrepant materials, surplus or obsolete materials, contract terminations, or a purchase order cancellation.
Follow up on orders to expedite delivery and shipment.
Obtain certifications of delivery and conduct item delivery validation.
Check and approve payment of invoices for orders placed.
Develop and maintain necessary records and files for efficient operation.
Assist in the support of various proposal efforts.
Mentor other team members.
Other duties as assigned.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word,PowerPoint).

Experience with Costpoint.
Required Experience
8+ years of related industry experience in Government/Commercial purchasing.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Proven experience sourcing and purchasing from domestic and international suppliers.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
